it's funny how we get more emotional about the house, the area, the chores, more than the marriage. how we would not want someone else to come and live in that place.

Dam, now divorce is another battle field for toxic femininity. My mom was a liying, cheating, manipulative sociopath who used me as a human shield for all the abuse she deserved. I guess she won at life right? No one cared about me. Im sure if I packed my bags to live on the street. You could've helped my mom write off the vacant room on her taxes. Totally winning? Oh yeah, and the women who kidnapped me when I was a helpless child. She's just living her best life and winning too, right? I'm sure like ambulance chasing lawyers. You help women destroy and break up families. Wien in reality marriage and divorce is just a business. I don't see much dei and esg in divorce court. Must be fascist or socialism both quite bad for society.

I am currently getting ready to file and would love to speak to someone before paying an attorney to handle this. It's very complicated and to make matters worse... My husband is a narcissist, by definition. I'm not throwing this term around, he's by every definition with the DSMR classic narcissistic. And he's hiding assets and money. So I'm in need of someone who can handle this personality. Thank you!

My experience: I am an AA father. I am a licensed patent attorney and professional engineer. I am a former teacher. I've coached/tutored children for 25 years. I mentored the presiding judge in law school. Went to law school with the GAL, and was former law partners with the Commissioner and GAL's close friend (for whom I wrote a reference letter for her to apply the very job of the Commissioner a year prior). I was a Div. 1 athlete. I served 7 years on the Missouri Bar's ethics committee and have published articles on ethics. Absolutely no criminal history or history of child abuse. I've been described by a friend as the nicest person he's ever met. I think this trait is what caused my (drop-dead gorgeous) Ex to pursue a relationship with me; she too is a professional (an RN). We were engaged for 8 years (or so I was lead to believe). I had 2 children with her, and she had a third (which I have doubts about being the father). I suffered 12 years of abuse by my Ex and the children's exposure to parental alienation. Realized that my Ex suffers from some sort of Borderline Personality Syndrome. Was advised to "get a parenting plan" by friends and family in the medical field, including our family therapists (which she terminated after 3 sessions). I filed in circuit court for joint custody and a robust parenting plan. My Ex answered that "joint custody is in the best interest of the children." Told the GAL about the 12 years of verbal, financial, emotional, and physical abuse I've sustained, and attempted to testify as to this foundation for my opinion relating to mental health. Admitted that I instinctually pushed my Ex back, where she dug her nails into my skin on 6 occasions over 12 years. My Ex testified that it's been 10. GAL filed a motion for Batter's Intervention (arguing that everything I said attributed to Ex was false but that I admitted to battering my Ex (I have never instigated any verbal or physical conflict or escalation; I have never hit my Ex back; she has struck me dozens of times; I have never even called her out of her name). The GAL cited medical records to argue that I don't believe in modern medicine and other nonsensical beliefs attributed to me. The GAL recommended sole custody for Ex. The GAL and Mother's attorney raised 144 objections (1 every 3 minutes) during my testimony (and my sister's testimony); Commissioner sustained most and intimidated me herself saying "his opinion means absolutely nothing to me" on several occasions. My attorney failed to proffer a record of excluded testimony, pick back up lines of questioning, etc. A protracted period of 7-months resulted after trial (before entry of judgment). GAL called to testify two "professionals" that brought on to the case. They bolstered the GAL's new narrative that I was a DV offender. Commissioner refused to hear from parent aides that were subpoenaed to testify on my behalf at two separate enforcement hearings when Ex repeatedly violated temp order. Commissioner ordered me to take classes, which I have completed. Aware that I may appeal, Commissioner issued 10 pages of findings parroting the GAL's/Mother's attorney's leading questions and fabricating facts all on her own. Findings go against almost all of the impartial evidence (SMS communications between parents, AppClose communications, Diary entries, Criminal history, Medical history, calendar, actual bank records, etc.). I've been under restricted parenting of the children for 17 months. Having to pay a parent aide to see the children ($465/weekend), I have been forced to stop saving in the children's 529 college savings plans. My son's grades have dropped and his baseball training has stopped. My daughter's outside tutoring and extracurricular activities have stopped. My youngest was forced to repeat pre-k, resulting in 36 months of pre-K and exhibits cognitive concerns (according to his speech therapists). My oldest son recently asked "is there anywhere else I can live," and ran away from my Ex's home a few weeks ago. Both parents agree that he exhibits physical manifestations of psychologic concerns, and Ex took him to the doctor due to same. We received a neurological/psychological referral from pediatrician after check up; but Ex unilaterally decided that he doesn't need to be evaluated. I have filed an appeal. I talk to a reunification counselor, and I do my best when I see them. But I am unable to help them, and fear that they may be incurring a devastating mental health condition from my Ex. There were other abuses and acts of misconduct that I suffered, which I will not go into. My question is why? Why did they do this to my children? Objectively I can't believe the results. Subjectively, they know me; . . . I feared that I would be given preferential treatment and never dreamed that I would be afforded no credibility (Commissioner found that i had engaged in "severe crazy making"). When you throw in my Ex's mental health concerns, and the children's risk of being injured by same, the outcome is even more untenable. In taking my parental rights, and preventing me and my family (the only extended family that they have) from spending time with the children, the court has intentionally harmed the children. The court was made aware of many uncontroverted anomalous observations that support my opinion (shared by at least 2 separate parent aides that expressed the same opinion). The court was made aware of treatise that caution against limiting FMC contact with the other parent, where mental health concerns exists. I did not ask to be believed, I only asked that my concerns be taken seriously. I compassionately ask for joint custody, a parenting plan, and family therapy.

Every single word is on point, but let us first address whether the monstrosity that is systemic discrimination against fathers and particularly, African-American fathers exists for the sole purpose of keeping the black community disadvantaged. What you discuss are the salient human-factors considerations of race when determining child custody, which should be addressed/considered in every case. We need to discuss the cases where overt discrimination is intentional and the possible reasons why (note that a bad outcome for a father/AA father is not necessarily overt discrimination where the determination also happens to be in the children's best interest; ...I am talking about cases where the children are targeted for a harmful outcome (removing a parent from the home) because they are black. This is another reality wherein black America right levy charges against the judicial system. My experience says that this may be occurring. What do the statistics say (e.g., how many outcomes are sole custody where the parents are black, white, etc.) When a child loses the contributions of a parent, that which the child would have achieved under the guidance, aid, tutelage of both of its parents/extended family DIES. It is cruel and inhumane, as the children are innocent.
